The Canine Touch

Dynamic body balancing for Dogs

The Canine Touch was developed by Dr Ivana Ruddock. Although very similar to those of The Equine Touch, the procedures differ to some degree taking into consideration the physiological and bio-mechanical differences as well as the behavioural and emotional identity traits differences between the species.

Student at a Canine Touch courseCourses 2008

We are pleased to announce that the Canine Touch now has two routes of study:

1. The dog owner’s study path, allowing you to use Canine Touch on your own dogs and those of your friends

2. A fully structured professional track to lead you to Practitioner Diploma status (appropriate insurance cover confirmed).

Whilst the choice of route is down to each individual student, the Practitioner Track is a valuable addition to the tool box for both Equine and Canine Professionals, as well as being an educationally recognised stand-alone modality.

Students at a Canine Touch courseLevel 2 and above Equine Touch students (or students who have completed previous short Canine Touch courses) who have also done home study from the Canine Touch book of the Dynamic Body Balancing procedures and moves plus the theory behind the D move may commence Canine Touch studies to pursue either study route at Module 2.

Although the course is now available for any interested person, dog lover or professional alike, the courses in the UK are infrequent (they usually run twice a year) as there are no qualified instructors other than Jock and Ivana Ruddock.

Ivana Ruddock will be teaching a Module 2 class on June 18th and 19th, at Homeway Farm, Glastonbury, Somerset.

Canine Touch Book and DVD

canine touch book coverWe are at last able to launch Ivana' s amazing Canine Touch bodywork modality to the world. If you can do Equine Touch, then you can help dogs, we all know that, but with the aid of this fantastic book and dvd there is a whole new dimension to making it truly 'Canine Touch' and not simply Equine Touch for dogs. The theory behind the moves and the difference in the anatomy and physiology of the dog is presented in Ivana's inimatable style in a straight forward and readable way. A 'must have' if you love dogs.
